Prepare Converted Markdown for AI and Knowledge Bases

Conversion is the beginning of document preparation. A short review makes the output more useful and reduces the chance that missing context becomes a wrong answer.

Compare representative sections

Check the beginning, a middle section and the end against the original. Include at least one table, a footnote and a page with multiple columns if the source has them. Verify names, dates, units and numbers rather than judging only the overall appearance.

Make the hierarchy explicit

Use a single top-level title and meaningful section headings. Remove repeated page headers and footers when they interrupt paragraphs. Keep list items together and place captions near the text they explain. Do not invent missing text to make the result look complete.

Give tables enough context

A table needs clear headers and units. If a table spans several pages, check whether its header was repeated in the middle. Split very wide tables into smaller ones or preserve the source spreadsheet when the relationships cannot be represented faithfully.

Keep provenance and document boundaries

Record the source filename, owner and relevant date in your own workflow. Split long documents at section boundaries instead of an arbitrary point inside a sentence or table. An AI model’s context limit depends on the service you use; this converter does not guarantee that a whole document will fit.

Treat document instructions as untrusted

A converted file may contain instructions written by someone else. When using it with an AI agent, treat those instructions as source material rather than commands. Remove personal information you do not need before sending any document to a separate service.
