Your files, briefly explained.

File handling

Your file is uploaded to this server and processed by MarkItDown in an isolated process. Input and generated output are kept in temporary storage during the request and deleted after success, failure or timeout. There is no account, document history or permanent upload storage.

No AI API for conversion

The formats offered here use local parsers. We do not send document content to Microsoft, OpenAI or another AI service. Remote URL conversion, OCR, audio processing and third-party plugins are disabled in this version.

What remains in your browser

The chosen file and result remain in the current page until you remove them, reload or leave. Downloads you save remain on your device. The site uses no advertising cookies, analytics scripts or document storage in your browser.

Operational data

The app keeps an IP-based request counter in memory for rate limiting. It resets after 10 minutes or a restart and holds at most 2,048 entries. Application access logging is disabled. Hosting and network providers may still process connection metadata. File contents and filenames are not written to application logs.

Connection security

Use the HTTPS address for the public preview. HTTPS can work with the server IP before a domain is selected. Unencrypted HTTP traffic can be read in transit; do not use HTTP for sensitive files. Start with sample documents while reviewing this preview.

Limits and fair use

Uploads are limited to 20 MB, conversions to 60 seconds and output to 2 MB. Only one conversion runs at a time. Large archives, unsupported formats and malformed documents are rejected. Only upload documents you are entitled to process.
